Delete your Gravitask account
You can remove your account at any time. Here's exactly what happens and how to request it.
What gets deleted
When you delete your Gravitask account, the following is removed from our systems:
- Your profile (name, email, avatar, preferences)
- Workspaces you own, and all projects, tasks, comments, attachments, and tags inside them
- Your membership of any workspaces owned by other people (your contributions in those workspaces remain the property of the workspace owner)
- Push notification tokens and device registrations
- API keys and OAuth tokens you have issued
- Active sessions — you'll be signed out of every device immediately
Your data is fully removed from our production systems within 30 days of the request, matching the timeline in our Privacy Policy.
What gets retained
- Data inside workspaces you don't own (that workspace's owner keeps their data, including work you contributed while you were a member)
- Anonymised audit and security logs (no personal identifiers — kept for legal/security obligations)
- Any invoices or payment records required by UK accounting law, retained without linking to a live account
How to request deletion
Option 1 — If you can sign in on the Gravitask mobile app
Open the Gravitask app on your phone, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. Follow the two-step confirmation. Your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2 — If you can't sign in, or don't use the mobile app
Email us from the address on your account and we'll action the deletion within one business day.
If your mail client doesn't open, send a message manually to privacy@gravitask.net with the subject "Account deletion request" and the email address on your account in the body.
